OZARK. . .Samuel Scott Brown, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday night, May 28, 2017, at his home. He was 53.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 1, 2017, in the Echo United Methodist Church with Pastor Charlie Newman officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary. At other times, the family will be at the home of Tim Tew in the Echo Community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Echo Cemetery Fund c/o Linda Ward, 12066 E. Highway 27, Newville, AL 36353.
Scott Brown was born and reared in the Echo Community and was a 1982 graduate of G.W. Long High School in Skipperville. He attended Wallace Community College where he received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Scott was formerly employed by the Dale Medical Center and the Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Facility as an LPN. He had also been employed by JESCO Construction Co. of Montgomery. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Franklin Brown, his mother, Agnes Louise Watson Brown, and three brothers, Steve Brown, Mike Brown and Gary Brown.
Surviving relatives include a son, Ethan Taylor Brown, Ozark; a daughter, Chelsea Valerio (Jordan), Woodbridge, VA; former wife and special friend, Linda Bowman Brown, Ozark; two sisters, Linda Grantham (Danny), Echo Community; and Patsy Brown, Ozark; a brother, Tommy Brown (Tammy), Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Milo Valerio, Margo Valerio, and Maclin Valerio; an uncle, Junior Watson, Atlanta; several nieces and nephews.
