Sandra Alice Shiver

Sandra Alice Shiver, a resident of Midland City, AL passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. She was 79.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Midland City with Pastor Randy Kuhn officiating. She will be laid to rest along with her husband in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sandra was born on February 27, 1942 in New Jersey to the late William McKee and Arline Winters McKee. She lived her early years in New Jersey and later moved to Arizona. Eventually, She and her husband decided to move to the Gordon, Alabama area. She enjoyed traveling in their RV and spending time with family.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy “BJ” Shiver; and her grandson, Jason Davis.

Survivors include her children, Ruth Merrell and Raymond Cahill (Tracy Thompson) ; her grandchildren, Christy Davis, Lila Merrell, Mike Davis, Brent (April) Merrell, and Nathan Merrell; her great-grandchildren, Amelia, Mikala, Bentley, Carter and Renee; her sister, Lorraine Vitulli; and a host of extended relatives.
