Sara Bottoms Creamer passed away quietly Friday night at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Dothan on February 27, 1966 to Bobby and Carolyn Bottoms. She lived most of her life in Dothan and attended Dothan City Schools. Sara excelled in her studies and was the salutatorian of Northview High School’s class of 1984 and a National Merit Scholar. She attended Trinity University and the University of Georgia. Sara was particularly gifted in math and always loved music. She sang and played the piano from an early age, and she loved listening to the music of her childhood through her very last days.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 14 at 2:00 P.M. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, the Reverend Allie Freeman officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
Sara was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Christian Bottoms.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Creamer; two sons, Fletcher Nowell and Ben Creamer; four daughters, Tori Harrison (Brock), Katie Creamer, Jessica Reynolds (Michael), and Jennifer Creamer; eight grandchildren; her parents, Brenda and Bobby Bottoms; and two brothers, Calvin Bottoms (Heather) and Trent Shemwell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
