Sara Emma Grimsley McIntosh, 92, of Enterprise, AL passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at her home in Enterprise.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Enterprise City Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Crumpler officiating. Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cattle for Christ, 4125 County Road 636, Enterprise, AL 36330 or First Baptist Church Building Fund, 302 North Main St., Enterprise, AL 36330.
Mrs. McIntosh was born and raised in Enterprise to the late L. D. and Mae Grimsley. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who treasured her family and friends and loved to cook for them.
Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin McIntosh; sister, Elizabeth Grimsley Broadwater; and a special cousin, Rebecca Mixson.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Thompson (Charles); 2 sons, Jack McIntosh (Janice) and John McIntosh; a brother, Ed Grimsley (Joanne) all of Enterprise; grandchildren, Allison Thompson Baxter (Kevin), Trent Thompson (Brandi) and Kyle McIntosh all of Enterprise; great-grandchildren, Elliot Baxter, IsaBelle, Mary Charles, and Harrison Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank her doctors, Dr. Gary Allen and Dr. LeeAnn Kettunen, and Gentiva Home Healthcare and Gentiva Hospice for their care and concern.
