Sara Frankie Peters Ennis of Dothan passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 82.


 


Funeral services will be held at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11 AM with Reverend Steve Skidmore officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time from 10-11 AM, Monday, August 21. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to to Camellia Hospice.


 


Sara was born August 26, 1934 to the late Mr. Franklin Peters and Mrs. Vera Gassett. She grew up in Coffee Springs and graduated high school from Coffee Springs; she then went on to live the rest of her life in Dothan, Al.


 


Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Merwyn Lee West Sr.;sister, Barbara Ann Peters; brothers, Hugh and Don Peters.


 


Survivors include her husband of 22 years, James Milford Ennis of Dothan; step- daughters, Patricia Woodham (Billy) of Dothan, and Jennifer Brannon of Dothan; sons, Merwyn Lee West (Caron) of Columbia, Gary S. West of Dothan, Gregory B. West (Debra) of Dothan; step-son, Jimmy Ennis (Patsy) of Athen, Al.; special friend of many years, Sue Hawkins Cruce; brothers, Robert Peters (Karen) of Hartford; grandchildren, Kari McLean (Paul), Kaci Wilbourn, Melia West, Garrett West, Alden Ward (Scott), Anna West, Kaylyn Stewart (Jimmy), Patti Flowers (Thomas), Jessica Lynn (Brian), Chad Ennis (Megan), Meagan Ennis, Steven Sexton, Sarah Sexton, Johnny Sexton; great-grandchildren, Morgan McLean, John Dalton Mclean, Madison McLean, Reagan McLean, Mekenzie Wilbroun, Alexa Lawrence, Aubrey West, Blythe Ward, Ty Ward, Sara Stewart, Lillian Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart, Hillery Brooks (Andrew), Brittney Brown (Micah), John Flowers, Tucker Lynn, Aiden Lynn, Maddie Ennis, and three great-great grandchildren.
