Sarah Ann (Hodges) Martin, 84, a resident of Dothan passed away, Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Westside Terrance following an extended illness.

Sarah was born September 1, 1939, in Dothan to the late Wilmer Leon & Annie Lee (Dixon) Hodges. She was born and raised in the Hodgesville Community, and was a 1957 graduate of Rehobeth High School. Sarah worked at Ansell and Warners, before beginning her career at Sony. While at Sony, she worked as a visual inspector and retired after 20 years of service, following her retirement, she became a hostess at Comfort Inn. She was a member of Hodgesville Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Andrew Martin; two sons, “Donny” Martin, and Phillip “Oop” Martin; and a brother, Donald Redden Hodges.

She is survived by her son, Bill Martin (Laura) of Dothan; two daughter-in-laws, Szilvia Martin of Cowarts, and Lisa Martin of Dothan; a sister, Lynda Sewell (Billy) of Hodgesville; six grandchildren, Adam Martin, Chris Martin, Marcel Martin, Colby Martin, Carly Leger, and Taylor Martin; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hodgesville Baptist Church, 11190 S. County Road 33, Dothan, AL 36301.
