DOTHAN. . .Sarah Scott Glover, a resident of Dothan, died early Wednesday evening, May 1, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. She was 84.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 5, 2024, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. A private burial will be held at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 3257 E. Cottonwood Road, Dothan, AL 36301.

            Ms. Glover was a lifelong resident of Dothan, daughter of the late Clifton Grady Scott and Dollie Conner Scott. She was a graduate of Dothan High School. Ms. Glover was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was retired from GTE in the marketing department.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Sherry Byrd, Enterprise; a son, Scott Byrd (Dianne); a sister, Dorothy Powell, Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren, David Byrd (Aleigha), Leslie Byrd and Olivia Byrd; a great-grandson, John Brooks Byrd on the way.
