SHARON DENISE REEVES NELSON
HEADLAND…Sharon Denise Reeves-Nelson, revered as a pillar of strength, passed away on November 29, 2024 at Southeast Health.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday December 07, 2024 at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Pastor Kalvin Daffin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Kinsey, Alabama. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Nelson was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Willie Otis and Annie Mae Womack-Reeves. She was a graduate of Headland High School, Class of 1982. She was employed for many years as a child care worker as well as Headland Elementary School. She was a member of St. Walden Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Vincur Reeves and Bettye Brown; her brothers, Woodrow Reeves and Willie Reeves, Jr..
Ms. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Amelia Hammock and A’Jade Hammock of Headland; her grandchildren, Kynnadi Starling and A’Raiyah McLoyd; her sisters, Connie Dismukes (Albert), Louise Reeves, Cassandra Stanley (Wilbert Jr.) and Waukesha Graham (Ernest); and a host of her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friends, Sharon Booker and James Duncan.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Womack, Major Womack, Jamie Womack, Ronnal Womack, Curtis Womack, and Detric Womack.
The family will like to give special thanks to Raheem McLoyd, Neuro-critical staff at Southeast Health, DCI, Amedisys Homehealth, Pilcher’s Non-emergency service and Headland Fire and Rescue.
