Sharon Shelley Peters, a resident of Midland City, died early Friday morning, September 18, 2015 at her home. She was 62.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend T.P. Martin and Reverend Jimmy Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Barrington Road, Midland City. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Mrs. Peters, daughter of the late Littleton (Chick) Shelley and Mary Jean Spence Shelley, was a native of Henry County, between Newville and Capps. She lived in Headland before moving to Midland City in 1974. Mrs. Peters was retired from Twitchell Corporation and was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Community Church in Dothan.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Donald Robert Peters, Midland City; a daughter, Michelle Peters (Michael Jordan), Ashford; a son, Donald Robert Peters, Jr. (Savannah Carruthers), Midland City; two grandchildren, Brock Peters and Landon Carruthers.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Dennis Peters, James Peters, Chester Peters, Tony Peters, Roy Peters, Jr., and Andy Thomas.
