Shawn Young, of Enterprise, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.  She was 61.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Adams officiating.  The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home Monday starting at 9:00 a.m. until the start of service.

Shawn was born August 14, 1957, in San Marcos, Texas.  She was a two time president of The Republican Women of Coffee County and a member of the Alabama Women’s Commission.  She enjoyed sewing and cooking from a young age and was a long time member of the Enterprise Stitchery Group.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Paul Young; daughter, Cheyenne (Dino) Tampary of Dothan; parents, Lt. Col. Paul Jackson (Retired) of Dothan and Bea Rowden of Enterprise; sister, Sheila (Danny) Holland of Level Plains; nephews, John Marsh and Kyle Karnes; nieces, Katherine Whitson and Emily Karnes and other extended family.
