Sheila Villittia Davis, 60, of Oakland Maryland died on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at her home. Born on February 14, 1956 in Geneva, AL, she was the daughter of the late Clifton F. and Doris Bernelle (Mims) Sullivan of Geneva. She became a Candy Striper during high school and eventually became an LPN. After many years in health care, she became an over the road truck driver and enjoyed driving for the better part of 17 years.
She exercised her creativity by becoming a certified Lapidary and producing beautiful jewels and instructing others in the craft of jewelry-making. She was also a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She will be remembered for her love of family, extending to those many, many “adopted” children who considered her a grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty years, Robert E. Davis, Jr. of Oakland, MD; three daughters, Angel Sullivan of Dothan, AL, Joni Davis of Deer Park, MD and Tasha Whitehead of Geneva, AL; step daughters, Tina Register of Jacksonville, NC, Bobbie Joe Rainey of Dunn, NC and Peggy Levin of FL; twenty one grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren plus one on the way; a brother, Charles C. Sullivan and wife Martha of Geneva, AL; a father in law, Robert E. Davis, Sr. of Oakland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother in law, Virginia L. Davis and many dear aunts. Sheila adored children and had many who referred to her her as "Mama Sheila" as well. Two memorial services will be held; one at Nest Lick Acres March 12, 2016 and an additional memorial service that will be held in a later time in her hometown of Geneva Alabama.
Memorial donations in Sheila’s name may be made to a children’s hospital or animal shelter charity of one’s choice. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
