Shermon Wilkerson, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, in Ozark, Alabama. Born on September 7, 1953, in Clio, Alabama, Shermon was a kind and friendly soul who touched the lives of many with his warm presence and genuine care for others.

A true jack of all trades, Shermon was well-known for his expertise in car window glass and upholstery repair. After owning and operating his own business, WW Hobby Shop, from 1987 to 1992, he went on to work with his lifelong friend at Toni Service Center, a car upholstery business. Shermon's hard work and dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.

In his free time, Shermon enjoyed fishing and boating at Lake Eufaula, Alabama. He found solace in the great outdoors, where he could often be found casting a line or cruising the lake with friends and family. Shermon's love for animals, especially dogs, was no secret to those who knew him. His gentle nature and compassionate heart made him a favorite among his four-legged companions. Shermon also loved watching cable television, shows like Maury, Bonanza, and Jerry Springer were among his favorite after his illness.

Shermon is survived by his daughters, Tabitha McWhorter of Ozark and Roxie Johnson of Echo, Alabama; his twin brother, Hermon Wilkerson and his brother, Lavoid Wilkerson; his sister, Mabel Pruitt; seven grandchildren, Tina, Brent, Joey, Star, Jaimie, Cody, and Destiny; several great-grandchildren; his step-children, Larry Hutto and Kim Hutton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends, Tony and Johnny Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Wilkerson, by his son, Brian Lee Wilkerson, his parents, Joe and Thelma Wilkerson, his sisters, Helen Castle and Mavis Smith, by his great-granddaughter, Ashlynne Clark, by his son-in-law, Walt Johnson, by the mother of his children, Linda Richards and several aunts and uncles.

Shermon will be remembered for his friendly demeanor, his handy skills, and his kind spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire future generations. Rest in peace, Shermon Wilkerson. Your light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved you, and your memory will be cherished for years to come.
