A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Williams officiating. The family will gather at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel from 1-2 pm to receive friends.
Sherry Marie Clark, a kind, gentle, and loving soul, passed away in Midland City, Alabama, on November 10, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on January 17, 1967, at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, she was the cherished daughter of J. C. Clark and Elaine Clark and a beloved member of a family that included her daughter, Jessica Marie King, her adored grandchildren, Reagan Marie Moody and Eric Devane Baker, her caring brother, Jerry Clark, and her dear sister, Rhonda Irvin. Sherry was preceded in death by her sister, Candace "Candy" Daniels, and her grandparents, James Reginald Clark, Esther Clark, Lou Perry and Helen Perry.
A graduate of Northview High School in 1985, Sherry's warmth and friendly demeanor were evident early on in her life. She dedicated many years to the family business at Avis Car Rental, where she treated her customers and colleagues with an unparalleled sense of kindness and camaraderie. The employees of Dothan Regional Airport, who were like family to her, will fondly remember Sherry's gentle spirit and loving nature.
Sherry was a woman of many passions and pursuits. She was peaceful and very in touch with her spiritual side, often finding solace in the company of her beloved cats. Her ability to connect with others was profound, as she never met a stranger and loved her customers as if they were her own family. Sherry's favorite indulgence was a slice of pizza from Hunt Brothers Pizza, a simple pleasure that brought her great joy.
Her father, J.C. Clark, was not only her parent but also her best friend. Their bond was a testament to the strength and beauty of familial love. Sherry's life was a reflection of the love she carried in her heart, a love that extended to her numerous extended family members and everyone she encountered.
Those who knew Sherry would describe her as loving, friendly, and gentle. She had a way of making everyone feel significant and cared for, a trait that earned her the deep affection and respect of all who knew her. She enjoyed nature and was a talented artist. Sherry enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Sherry's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the countless lives she touched and the everlasting impact she made. Her memory will be treasured forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were graced by her presence.
