Shirley White, 74, a life-long resident of Houston County passed away, Monday, August 26, 2024, at Extendicare following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., prior to service.

Shirley was born April 16, 1950, in Dothan to the late A. Z. & Edna Mae (Livingston) White. She spent the early years of her life in Dothan and was a 1968 graduate of Ashford High School. Shirley was one of the co-owner’s of White’s Produce & Green Houses in Dothan with her parents and brother. She was a life-long member of  Eastside Free Will Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sherril White; and her niece, Shanda Norton.

She is survived by her two sisters, Sylvia Norton of Ashford, and Sara Brown of Dothan; several nieces and nephews, Ann Darice McCarty (Derek), Brandy White (Kristina), Carl Norton, Susie White (Patti), Trina Warrick, and Sandi White; a sister-in-law, Debbie White; nine great-nieces and nephews; and two very special friends, Clara Baker and April Thomas.

Serving as active pallbearers, Kasey White, Joshua McCarty, Scotty Scott, Tony Strickland, Jason Scott, Robert Owens, and Joseph Miller.

Serving as honorary pallbearers, Alec White, Paul White, David White, Arnold Smith, and Brook Meadows.
