Spencer Helms Hall, Jr., a resident of Dothan, passed away at a local hospital on Friday, October 2, 2020. He was 73 years old.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 9, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ernie Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12-1 pm.
Mr. Hall was born on November 16, 1946 in Stamford, CT and lived the early years of his life there. He was a 1964 graduate Au Sable Forks High School. He later joined the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Following his military career, he moved to Pensacola, FL and to Dothan in 1989. Mr. Hall never met a stranger and could do almost anything he put his mind to. He was the Chapter Director of the Goldwing Motorcycle Club. Mr. Hall kept busy caring for the horses for his wife and traveling and camping. He was a member of The Dothan Elks Lodge and Cloverdale Methodist Church.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer Helms Hall, Sr. and Gertrude Martin Hall.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Joan Hall; his son, Trey (Diana) Hall; his daughter, Stephanie (John) Reidel; his 6 grandchildren; his brother, Gerry (Sarah) Hall; several nieces and nephews, including Amy Hall and Greg Hall; and a close family friend, Ann Williams.
