Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with rendering of military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am.

SSGT Gregory Adams(US Airforce VET), a resident of Dothan, AL, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 28, 2022. He was 74 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with rendering of military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am.
Greg was born on February 11, 1948, to the late Pruitt and Inez Adams in Eufaula, AL. From 1967 to 1974 Greg served in the US Air Force in Security Forces. During his service he was Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Law Enforcement Training. Greg received training & certificates of completion of the State of Washington Patrol Academy and the USAF NCO Communications and Management. He graduated in the top 10% of class. Greg also received six medals while serving in the Republic of South Vietnam to include Purple Heart, Air Force Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters and “V” for Valor. From 1975 to 1980 Greg served as a police officer for the city of Eufaula and later as a Deputy Sheriff for Houston County. In 1996 Greg was the Regional Manager for DSI Security Services.
Greg enjoyed spending time with friends and his wife, riding around exploring and seeing sites. He loved riding his motorcycle, collecting guns and knives, and going fishing. He would watch westerns, especially Gun Smoke. Greg loved God, family, his service dog, Bailey, and his country with all his heart.
Greg was preceded in death by his father Pruitt Adams in 1993, his mother Inez Key Adams 2010 and his brother Phillip Jarrell in 1994.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Gail Adams; his 2 daughters Tonya and Tammy; his stepchildren, Scott (Amy) Sanders and Christy (Wayne) Williams; his 11 grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
