SSGT Natasha Thomas, 29, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona where she was with the 362nd Air Force Recruiting Squadron.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Natasha was born on July 19, 1982 in Dothan, AL and lived in Cottonwood, AL the early part of her life. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 2000 where she played the trumpet in the marching band. She also played the French horn and saxophone in the concert band and was the captain of the color guard. She graduated with honors and was also on the BETA court afterward. She joined the United States Air Force in 2001 and was currently a Staff Sergeant with the 362nd Air Force Recruiting Squadron. She attended God’s Grace Ministries. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Nataleigh Raine Thomas, two grandfathers, Alex Lewis and Jeff Stroud, and a grandmother Jessie Cody.

She leaves to morn a devoted husband, Chrishnon A. Thomas; sons, Chrishnon A. Thomas II and Cohen A. Thomas; mother and step-father, Natalie M. and Camry Hudspeth; father, Robert E. Lewis (Maxine); brother, Ranautus R. Lewis; a sister, Nakira R. Lewis; two special cousins, Shantrell Moore and Blake A. Moore (like a brother); great-granny, Ollie Mae Moore; grandmothers, Joyce Stroud, Minnie Lewis, Elmeta Boatwright, and May Rose Cody; grandfather, Connie Cody; a special aunt, Linda Moore (like a mom); sisters-in-law, Christiana Thomas and Jana Thomas; brother-in-law, Jonathan Thomas; mother-in-law, Kim Thomas; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
