STANLEY MARK "MUD TURTLE" McKNIGHT

HEADLAND.…Stanley Mark "Mud Turtle" McKnight, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 17, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. He was 58.

            No services are planned at this time.

            Mr. McKnight was born in Houston County, Alabama, to the late Shellie Pierce McKnight and Annie Merle Glover McKnight. He lived in Dothan, AL most of his life, until moving to Headland, AL over 28 years ago. He was a 1981 Graduate of Dothan High School. He worked as a truck driver, with Lingo Sand Company for 25 years before retiring due to medical disabilities.

            Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie McKnight, Ronnie McKnight and Larry McKnight.

            Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, April Whatley McKnight; his son, Joshua Mark McKnight of Atlanta, GA; his brothers, David McKnight (Lanis) of Malvern, AL and Mike McKnight (Renee) of Montgomery, AL; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn McKnight, Frankie McKnight and Kim Whatley; and his brother-in-law, David Whatley.
