Starla Celeste Howell Money, 58, of Gordon, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Southeast Health following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy West officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery near Ashford with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Friday prior to service time.

Starla was born April 22, 1965 in Donalsonville, Georgia to Sterling and Eva Pearl Hobbs Howell and grew up in Dothan. She was employed with the City of Dothan as a bus driver and also worked in her father’s shop, Howell’s Automotive. She was a beautician for many years.

Starla was a people person and enjoyed dancing and loved country music. She enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and Alabama Football…Roll Tide! She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents and a sister, Edith Pearl Howell.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Money of Gordon; a son, Sterling Lee Howell (Jennifer) of Ashford; two grandchildren, Hunter Howell and Austin Wright of Ashford; a sister, Vanessa Andrews (Eddie) of Ashford; a niece, Elisha Hollis and a nephew, Austin Andrews.
