DOTHAN. . .Stawanctia Beaty Clark, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Baker Hill, Alabama, died early Sunday morning, March 19, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. She was 92.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in the Chester Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, (State Highway 95 and County Road 48), Abbeville, with Reverend Randy Stokes officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Holman Mortuary in Abbeville.
Ms. Clark was born and reared in Blue Springs, daughter of the late Marion Dewey Beaty and Rubye Lucille Baxley Beaty. She lived most of her adult lifetime in Baker Hill before moving to Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation in Dothan. In earlier years, she attended Chester Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Ms. Clark was retired from Bledsoe Mining Company of Baker Hill as a Secretary and Bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica Lucas, a granddaughter, Angel Lucas, a brother, Wade Beaty and a sister, Lacretia Beaty “Cricket” Boyd and a daughter in law, Sheila Beasley.
Surviving relatives her sons, Randy Beasley, Eufaula; Ricky Beasley (Lisa), Eufaula; and Dr. Carlos S. Clark (Jennifer), Dothan; three sisters, Gwen Sowell, Edwin Community; Gennella Barrs, Montgomery; and Amaryllis Sullivan, Senoia, GA; a son in law, Earl Lucas, Baker Hill; grandchildren, George Lucas (Roxie), Shanna Beasley, Holly Bush (Craig), Lauran Young (Scott), Trey Clark, Tatum Clark, and Trinity Clark; great-grandchildren, Sydney Westerfield (Kyle), Michael Lucas, Paige Lucas, Alexa Lucas, Hailee Bush, Noah Bush, Mackenzie Young and Marshall Young; several nieces and nephews.
