Black, Alabama. . .Stephanie Lynn Messick, a resident of Black, Alabama, died Friday morning, September 24, 2021, in a Geneva hospital. She was 43.

      Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 26, 2021, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mike Griggs officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed.

      Memorial contributions may be may be made to Children’s Hospital of Alabama, 1600 7^th Avenue, South, Birmingham, AL 35233.

      Stephanie Messick was born and reared in Pinckard, Alabama. She lived in the Midland City-Pinckard area most of her lifetime. Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Lynn Cunningham Clark. She was a member of the Black Volunteer Fire Department.  

      Surviving relatives include three daughters, Savanna Harris (Chad),  Madison Taylor  (Madison), all of Newton; and Bridget Proctor, Slocomb; fiance' Chaseton Tice, Black, AL; her father and step-mother, Mickey Sego, Sr. and Betty Sego, Dothan; a brother, Mickey Sego, Jr.; two grandchildren, Maggie Clark and Nova Taylor and two grandchildren on the way.
