Steven E. Speigner, 62, of the Bethany Community passed away at his home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from a heart attack.


Funeral services will be held at Bethany Baptist Church on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Tony Dye officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1805 County Road 533, New Brockton, AL 36351.


Steve was a retired member of the Alabama National Guard, former truck driver and currently was enjoying farming, fishing and hunting.


 


His father, Warren L. Speigner, preceded him in death.


He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Annette Speigner; daughters, Hope, Sarah and Stevie; sisters, Catherine Wilkes (Weylan); Karen Hearn (Jimmy); brother, Stan Speigner; several nieces, nephews and a special friend, Susan Holderfield.
