?Dothan – Sue Martinson, 85 died peacefully at Flowers Hospital on Wednesday August 4, 2021. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 8th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of  Pilgrim Home Baptist Church (  13534 U.S. Highway 84 Newton, Al) and Visitation beginning at 10 a.m.


She was born on May 22, 1936 in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of Louis Piepenbrink and Avace Treharen Piepenbrink. 


?Sue graduated from JTHS Class of 1954. Following graduation, she began her family of four sons. She was active at First Presbyterian Church and then Messiah Lutheran where she met her second husband Bill. Sue and Bill moved to the Dothan area in 2003.


?In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by two of her grandsons, Austin and Adam.


Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, William, her four sons Mark (Lois) Smith of Pennsylvania, Michael (Cindy) Smith of Wisconsin, Matthew (Robin) Smith of Illinois, and Merritt Smith of Illinois, of her 7 grandchildren, 5 survive: Alyssa (Jordan) Belton of Wisconsin, Anca Smith of Wisconsin, Brenna Smith of Illinois, Aubree of Illinois, and Andrew Smith of Pennsylvania. In addition to her grandchildren, her grandchildren were a great joy – Levi, Evelyn and Lillian Belton all of Wisconsin.
