Mrs. Sydney Sanders Fridell, of Dothan, passed away on August 15, 2024 at her home.  

Mrs. Sydney was born September 15, 1943, in Florala, Alabama to the late Edward Wayne Sanders, and Ruth Latimer Sanders. She lived most of her life in Dothan, and was a teacher for 23 years, mostly in Ozark. Mrs. Sydney always taught and practiced the Golden Rule, and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 was her favorite passage from the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Derek Sanders. 

Mrs. Fridell is survived by a son, Joseph Franklin Fridell III of Inlet Beach, Florida; a daughter, Franci Fridell of Tiburon, California; a brother, Dr. Edward Wayne Sanders of San Francisco, California; and two grandchildren, Soren Holloway Smith, and Harrison Franklin Fridell. 

In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be memorials at a later date. 

The family is so thankful for all her friends and neighbors
