Talmadge Lamar Gilley, 73, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was born in Geneva County to the late Herbert Gilley and Freddie (Brannon) Gilley.


A Celebration of Life will be 2 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. There will be no public visitation.


Talmadge's hobbies included going fishing and RV camping with his beloved wife and family. He retired after 42 enjoyable, and dedicated years at the Michelin Plant as an inspector.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Gilley and a son, John Owens.


Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Peggy Gilley, sons, Tim (Amber) Gilley, and Joseph Gilley, brother, Ronnie (Virginia) Gilley and sisters, Dinah (Ed) Whitehead, Debbie Riley, Linda (Cecil) Mixon, and Evelyn Holroyd, along with several grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of other family and friends.
