ASHFORD. . .Tammie Hopkins Widner Powers, a former resident of Ashford, died late Saturday night, February 26, 2022, in the Oakview Manor Health Care & Rehab in Ozark. She was 59.
Private memorial services will be held in the Cedar Springs Baptist Church, near Ashford, with Reverend Randy Sellers officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Tammie Powers was born in Dothan but lived near Ashford most of her lifetime. She was a member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Tammie was a retired employee of AAA Cooper Transportation Company. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Hopkins.
Surviving relative include a daughter, Caroline Marler Stinson (Donnie), Spartanburg, SC; a granddaughter, Charlotte Stinson, her mother, Sarah Ward Hopkins a sister, Jacqueline King (Johnny), and a brother, Timothy R. Hopkins, all of Ashford;two nephews, Brad King and Tyler King, a great-niece, Jaiden King, and two great-nephews, Chase King and Collier King.
