Tammy Parker Linker, 53, passed away on Friday September 16, 2016 in Bedford, Texas. A true-Alabama girl, Tammy resided in Glen Rose, Texas with her husband, Mike, and son, Cole. After graduating from Geneva County High School (Hartford, AL) in 1981, Tammy attended the beloved University of Alabama and Troy State University where she earned degrees in Chemistry and Physical Science. Her school accomplishments led to a long-career in the chemistry field.
Tammy brought smiles to everyone with her contagious laugh and personality and with her genuine love for others. If you knew her, you loved her and will never forget her (especially during football season!). She was a giving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Tammy always gushed over her family and proudly shared her love for The Alabama Crimson Tide with anyone she met.
Tammy will be missed greatly by her family and friends; however, we gain peace knowing that she loved Jesus Christ with all of her heart. Tammy knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus Christ was with her on the sunniest of days and the darkness of any storm.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Mike Linker, and son, Cole, of Glen Rose, TX, Parents, Lee and Sarah Parker, Midway Community, AL, sister, Amanda Parker Hampton (Christopher) and favorite niece, Sarahbeth Wagner, all of Dothan, AL, In-laws, Gene and Nadine Linker, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Darla Linker and nephew Brayden Linker, Tolar, Texas, along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and special life-long friends.
Tammy is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Auburn and Monte Parker and Lex (Slim) and Juanita Childs, several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Services will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Enterprise, AL. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 pm followed by a celebration of life service at 3:30 pm. led by Rev. Harold Peters. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Tammy to: Gideon's International, Wiregrass Gideon's Camp, PO Box 403 Daleville, Al 36322.
