Tawanna Jane Andrews Bundy

Tawanna Jane Andrews Bundy, a resident of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at a local hospital. She was 64 years old.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Assembly of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 am.

Tawanna was born on January 3, 1958 to her parents, William E. and Betty J. Andrews. In early life she moved to Newton where she was raised with three sisters and one brother. In 1973 she would meet the man she would start her life with. Wed on October 13, 1973 to Curtis Bundy they would go on to have two children. In early motherhood, she would be a stay-at-home mom and babysitter. Later she worked at Wex Tex Sewing Factory and Wesley Manor Retirement Home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many people and everyone loved to be around her. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Tawanna is preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Betty J. Andrews Carpenter, her baby sister, Barbara, her brother-in-law, Ron Cantwell, and her paternal and maternal grandparents and great grandparents.

Tawanna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Curtis Bundy of Newton; her daughter, Terri (Stephen) Gibbons of Midland City; her son, Steven (Robin) Bundy of Pinckard; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Karleigh, and Kassidy Gibbons, Bryce and Dylan McKnight, Kaylie and Baylie Evans; her great grandchildren, Myles, Johanna, Margo, and Kendrick; her two sisters, Tereasa (Greg) Rincon of Dothan and Belinda (J. B.) Stanford of Auburn; her brother, Eugene (Elizabeth) Andrews of Midland City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
