Ted Chang

Ted Chang passed away on December 9, 2019, at the age of 64.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Ted Chang was born on August 1, 1955, in Taipei, Taiwan, to Kuo Tai and Bi-Lan Chang. He emigrated from Taipei to the United States in 1970’s in order to pursue his dreams of becoming a chef. He loved small town living and decided to make Dothan, Alabama his new home. His first successful business was China Star which was opened in 1990 which he later sold in 1991. He then opened Golden Palace in 1992 which he successfully ran for 25 years. He and his wife spent most of his years working in order to support his 3 children whom all became successful professionals. He spent most of his retirement days reading cookbooks, spending time with his kids, and traveling with his wife.

Ted is survived by wife, Jen Chang and his 3 children, Kevin Chang and his wife Terin of Birmingham, Alabama, Connie Chang of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Cody Chang of Dothan, Alabama.
