TED RANDALL “RANDY” MORING
SHORTERVILLE, AL… Ted Randall “Randy” Moring, a resident of Shorterville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday night, May 31, 2023, at his home. He was 71.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Chaplain Phillip Durr officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Safe Haven Animal Rescue & Kennels (S.H.A.R.K.) in Mr. Moring’s name. S.H.A.R.K. P.O. Box 126 Abbeville, Alabama 36310 or www.shark37.care.
Mr. Moring was born in Dothan, Alabama to Dora Lou King Moring Grafton and the late Ted Jefferson Moring. He lived all of his young life in the Eufaula area. He was a 1969 graduate of Eufaula High School. He then graduated Auburn University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Biological Science degree. He put himself through Auburn University giving guided tours of Lake Eufaula. After he graduated from Auburn University, he started work on a Georgia plantation. In 1983 after he left the Georgia plantation, he started working at the Clarendon Plantation in Beaufort, SC, where he retired as manager in 2013. He served his country and retired from the Army National Guard in 1993 as a Captain.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Jill Louise Craig Keenum; his daughter, Melissa K. Washington (Micah); his sons, Rance Moring (Catherine) and Randall D. Moring (Heidi); his step-daughter, Amanda McGuire (Joey); his mother, Dora King Grafton (Travis); his sisters, Libby Simpson (David), Debbie DeMaio, Patty Moring, and Amy Watson (Brett); his six grandchildren; and his several nieces and nephews.
