Ted Valon Lewis, a resident of the William F. Green Veterans Home, Bay Minette, AL passed away Tuesday August 20, 2013. He was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A. M. Friday, August 23, 2013 from the Chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend John D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel from 9 until 10 A. M. one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alcazar Shriners P. O. box 210279, Montgomery, Alabama 36121.
Mr. Lewis was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a member of Taylor Masonic Lodge # 447.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Bessie Lewis, a son, Martin Lewis and his first wife, Ruth Beal.
Survivors include his former wife, Janice A. Thomas of Skipperville, AL; daughters, Melanie Harris and husband Steve of Evansville, IN and Mona Hughes and husband Larry of Edenton, NC ; Son Rex Lewis and wife Tina of Skipperville and Tommy Lewis and fiancée Truclan Johnson, Dothan and daughter-in-law Laura Lewis of Kansas.
His sisters, Lottie Jupin, Patricia Blevins and Linda Johnson and husband Les all of Kentucky.
His brother, Duane Lewis of Indiana; Fourteen Grandchildren; Seven Great Grandchildren and his companion - Rusty
