Teresa Ann Lawson, a resident of Dothan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 12, 2016 after a brief illness. She was 63.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Dothan First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Murray Kelly officiating. She will be laid to rest in Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7 pm.

Mrs. Lawson was born on December 31, 1952 in Houston County and has lived in Dothan all of her life. She was employed with Michelin Tire Corporation for 30 years until her retirement in 2010. Mrs. Lawson married Dennis Earl Lawson December 24, 1994. Mrs. Lawson loved praising God and sang in community choirs and in Dothan First Assembly of God Church Choir where she was a member.

Survivors include her daughter, Sabrina Brown; her sons, Eddie (Jeannette) Grimsley and Elton Grimsley; her step-daughters, Keisha Lawson; Makisha Lawson, Denessa Hicks, and Lativia Lawson; her step-son, Lester (Lunersha) Grimsley, Jr.; her grandchildren, Gabriel Carlisle, Bryson Grimsley, Ciera Grimsley, Bradley Grimsley, Brantley Grimsley, Brittney Grimsley, Dillan Lawson, Jaquan Daniels, Latarian Lawson, Alyssa Lawson, Jaylah Lawson, Keylan Hicks, and Braylon Hicks; her brother, Joe Earl Boykins; her sister, Elizabeth Boykins; her aunt, Ruby Jean Ennis; her uncle, Jamie Boykins; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Ellison Rambo, Cory Lawson, Joe Lawson, Gabriel Carlisle, Jimmy Parker, and Lester Grimsley, Jr.
