Teresa Johnson Whitehead

Teresa Johnson Whitehead, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness.  She was 64.

Graveside services will be held later this week in Mississippi. Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Whitehead was born March 9, 1951 in Mississippi and received her masters in counseling at Mississippi State University.  She taught school in Mississippi for several years and was a counselor at the alternative school in Dothan for five years.  

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Whitehead of Dothan; a daughter, Courtney Whitehead of Dothan; a sister, Amarie Bryan of Grenada, Mississippi and a niece, Teresa Bryan of Dothan.
