Terry Frank McCormick, known affectionately as Terry to his friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on January 28, 1959, in Donalsonville, Georgia, Terry's zest for life and generous spirit touched everyone he met.

Terry dedicated 42 years of his life to perfecting his craft as a Body Technician, a testament to his hard work and commitment to excellence. His passion for singing Gospel and karaoke brought joy to many, and his voice will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of hearing him sing. A formidable presence at the Cottonwood Dragway, Terry was a four-time Drag Racing champion, also competing with vigor in Florida and Tennessee. His love for fishing, grilling, and playing the guitar were only matched by his playful spirit, often found picking on his family in the most loving way.

A true fan of Elvis, Terry lived life with the same fullness and heart as the music he adored. Described as friendly and generous, he was the epitome of a good man, always willing to do anything for anyone. His good heart and lively personality will be deeply missed.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Mamie McCormick, and his brothers, William Butch McCormick, Jerry Thomas McCormick, and Tracy McCormick. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his wife of 23 years, Phyllis McCormick; his son, Jason McCormick; his sister, Donna Sue Gay (Wayne); and his cherished grandchildren, Tristen McCormick, Paisleigh Kate McCormick, and Kynleigh Anne McCormick.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Frith Hill Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Terry's life was a beautiful melody of love, laughter, and service. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the harmony he brought to our lives.
