NEWVILLE. . .Terry Lamar Peavy, a resident of Newville, died Wednesday night, March 29, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 72.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:30 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2023, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 4:30 P.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kroger Infusion, 2511 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL 36301
Terry Peavy was born and reared in Ariton, Alabama, son of the late Jimmy Lewis Peavy and Bonnie Beatrice Senn Peavy. He lived in Wellington, Alabama before moving to Newville in 2015. Terry was a member of the Old Center Church. He was formerly employed by Bruno’s in Dothan and Gregerson Grocery in Anniston, Alabama. Terry was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Peavy.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Cinda White Peavy, a son, Nicholas Peavy (Paris), Orlando, FL; two daughters, Lori Starling (Carl), Guyton, GA; and Rachel Forrester (David), Headland; a brother, Larry Peavy (Beulah), Ariton, AL; five grandchildren, Tylor Peavy, Breanna McNair, Gavin McNair, Braylon Starling and Isaiah Peavy; one great-grandson, Jay Oliver Adams; a sister-in-law, Kathy Martin (Russ), Blountsville, AL; nieces and nephews.
