MIDLAND CITY. . .Thersa Arnett Tonden, a resident of Dale County, between Headland & Midland City, died Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the home of her sister. She was 63.

            A private graveside service will held in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, near Grimes.

            Thersa was a native of Dale County, daughter of the late William Charles “Billy” Arnett and Betty Still Arnett. She was a 1979 graduate of Headland High School. Thersa was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Cracker Barrell as a clerk. Thersa lived in South Carolina and Carney’s Point, New Jersey before returning to Dale County two months ago.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Timothy Tonden, a son, Christopher Leland Tonden, a sister, Sherry Perry (Lamar), Midland City; nieces, Courtney Perry, Caitlin Johnson (Trent), and Carmen Perry.
