Thomas “Bill” Edison Churchwell, Jr., age 73, of Hartford, AL, passed away Sunday morning, October 30, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The date will be announced once the family catches enough fish for a fish fry.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or The Houston County Rescue Unit.

Bill loved talking on the CB, tinkering on anything with an engine, fishing and Alabama football. You could often hear him offering advice to Nick Saban during the games.    Pops never met a stranger. Everyone he met got to hear stories of his outlaw days, hot-rodding the backroads of Geneva County and northwest Florida. His favorite fishing spots extended across the southeast from Goat Rock to Deland Florida.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Thomas Edison Churchwell, Sr., his mother, Mary Frances (McIntosh) Churchwell, his wife, Lore Marie Churchwell, and his daughter Ronda Kaye Churchwell.

He is survived by his lifetime friend Ann Daniel; two sons, David (Jennifer) Churchwell and Chad (Jenna) Churchwell Adaway; two daughters, Pam Harmon and Linda Eagle. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry (Tammy) Churchwell; two sisters, Mary (Joe) Rials and Barbara (Tommy) Churchwell Holland; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; great-nieces/nephews; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

A special thank you to Enhabit Hospice, his nurses Courtney and Jennifer.
