HEADLAND. . .Thomas Earl Bostick, D.V.M., a resident of Headland, died late Saturday night, April 6, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. He was 68


            Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2019, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Glenda Davis and Dr. Perry Mobley officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. Thursday in chapel.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the City of Headland Animal Rescue Mission (C.H.A.R.M.), P.O. Box 216, Headland, AL 36345 or the  Spiritual Enrichment Center of Dothan, 942 South Oates Street, Dothan, AL 36301


            Dr. Bostick was a native of the Tolbert Community of Henry County and moved with his family to the Oakey Grove Community as a child. He was the son of the late James Bostick and Pauline Moring Bostick. Dr. Bostick was a 1968 graduate of Abbeville High School and received a B.S. Degree in Zoology from Auburn University in 1972. After graduation from Auburn, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the    U. S. Army. He served his country from 1972 until 1974 during the Vietnam War era. Upon discharge from the military, Dr. Bostick enrolled in the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from Auburn in 1979 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. Dr. Bostick established the Headland Veterinary Hospital in 1979 where he practiced Veterinary Medicine until 1997. He was a member of the Spiritual Enrichment Center of Dothan.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Leueen Pelletier Bostick; two daughters, Angie Blackwell, Dothan; and Myranda Love, Hawaii; a son, Daniel Thomas (Dan) Bostick (Megan); two brothers, Dr. James Paul (Jim) Bostick (Susan), and Jacky Bostick (Susan), all of Headland; four grandchildren, Jaylen Crawley, Alden Blackwell, Sadie Bostick and Waylon Bostick.                  .
