MIDLAND CITY. . .Thomas Edmond “Tommy” Granberry, a resident of Dale County, near the Echo Community, died Sunday, October 24, 2021, in the Dale Medical Center in Ozark. He was 83.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in Memory Hill Cemetery, Dothan, with Dr. Mark Turner officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Tommy Granberry was born in Henry County, son of the late Verna C. Granberry and Ora Dell Howard Granberry. He lived most of his lifetime in Dothan before moving to the Echo Community several years ago. Tommy was retired as the owner and operator of Granberry Floor Covering in Dothan. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Tommy was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Beverly Granberry, a grandson, James Farley, two great-granddaughters, Ellie Allard and Mia Blankenship, two sisters, Irell Granberry and Carolyn Spann, and three brothers, Howard Granberry, Elvis Granberry and Nelson Granberry.
Surviving relatives include his wife, June Snell Granberry; two sons, Gregory T. Granberry (Miriam), Palmetto, GA; and Edmond W. Granberry, Echo Community; sisters-in-law, Joyce Granberry and Virginia Granberry; six grandchildren, Jessica Allard (William), Patrick Granberry, Clifton Granberry, Courtney Couch, Wesley Blankenship (Pam) and Nicole Hancock; five great-grandchildren, Jude Couch, Miles Blankenship, Maralies Blankenship, Blakely Allard and Micah Hancock.
