Mr. Thomas Eugene Edberg “Bubba” of Coffee Springs, Alabama passed away January 3, 2023. He was 69.
The family will hold private Celebration of Life services at a later time.
Bubba was born July 1, 1953 in Enterprise, AL to the late Douglas Peter, Sr. and Margaret Lavina Salter Edberg. He retired as a lineman with Alabama Power after 40 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed a good fishing trip and spending time at Black Creek with his friends. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Air Force at various stations throughout the United States.
In addition to his parents, Bubba was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Margaret Michaels (Robert), one brother, Douglas Peter Edberg, Jr, and sister-in-law, Shirley Helms Edberg.
He is survived by two sons, Brian Edberg (Jennifer), Coffee Springs, Brad Edberg (Leigh), Chancellor; grandchildren, Payton Dunaway (Parker) of Atlanta, Josie Edberg of Birmingham, Bayleigh Edberg (Hayden McCoy), Chance McKee and Brantley Edberg, all of Samson, Ausley Edberg of Chancellor, Colby Sheffield of Tallassee, Shane Sheffield (Jesse) of Coffee Springs; one great granddaughter, Whitlee Sheffield, one great grandson on the way in June, James Bowen McCoy “Bo”, one great granddaughter on the way in April, Emmee Jane Sheffield; Mother of his sons, Teresa Davis (Randy) of Coffee Springs; Mothers to his grandchildren, Julie Wise Britt of Samson and Wanda Tyler Cotter of Enterprise; loving companion, Darlene Tutor, Geneva; two brothers, Donald Perry Edberg (Liz) of Dothan and James Edwin “Jimmy” Edberg of New Brockton; a number of special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Bro. Jimmy Eddins, Southern Care Hospice/ Jami Wilks for their devoted love and care during his sickness.
