MIDLAND CITY, AL….Thomas Jefferson Yeomans, a resident of Midland City, died Tuesday morning, November 15, 2011, at his home. He was 75.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 17, 2011, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Taylor Hodges and Reverend Tommy West officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL. 36302 or to the Midland City Baptist Church, P.O. Box 694, Midland City, Al. 36350.
Mr. Yeomans was a lifelong resident of Midland City, son of the late Levin Boyd Yeomans and Myrtle Melissa Thomas Yeomans. He served his country in the Army National Guard in the Headland Unit and was activated during the Berlin Crisis. Mr. Yeomans retired as a Trainman Conductor from CSX Railroad in Dothan after thirty-five years employment. He was a member of the Midland City Baptist Church. Mr. Yeomans was preceded in death by a brother, James Yeomans.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Gloria Outlaw Yeomans; a daughter, Tina Yeomans, Opelika, AL; two sons, Rusty Yeomans; Reggie Yeomans and wife, Brandie; a granddaughter, Jordan Yeomans, all of Midland City; two sisters, Annie Adams and husband, Charles, Ashford, AL; Judy Hancock, Goshen, AL; two brothers, Ted Yeomans and wife, Melba, Midland City; and Bill Yeomans and wife, LaRhonda, Dothan; a sister- in-law, Joyce Yeomans, Midland City.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Scotty Yeomans, Lynn Yeomans, Morgan Culp, Drew Culp, Tyler Outlaw, Perry Outlaw and Andy Ward.
