THYRA BRANTLEY MALLORY
DOTHAN. . .Thyra Brantley Mallory, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Headland, died late Friday afternoon, February 7, 2014, in Westside Terrace. She was 78.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 10, 2014, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Mrs. Mallory was born and reared in the Echo Community of Dale County, daughter of the late General Emmett Brantley and Pearlie Irell Ammons Brantley. She lived most of her adult lifetime in Headland before moving to Dothan in 2010. Mrs. Mallory was a member of the Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church. She was retired from C.S. Herndon Oil Company in Abbeville as Office Manager. Mrs. Mallory was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Paul Mallory, a sister, Hattie Pearl Keel, and a brother, General Lamar Brantley.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Judy Jarrett (Don); a son, Danny Mallory (Pam), all of Dothan; two grandchildren, Joshua Mallory and Molly Jarrett; sisters-in-law, Annette Mallory, Ozark; and Zelmodean Mallory, Midland City; a brother-in-law, Lewis Mallory (Emma Jean), Dothan.
