TILLMAN  LAMAR  PARSON

ABBEVILLE. . .Tillman Lamar (Bob) Parson, a resident of County Road 46, Abbeville, died Wednesday night, November 9, 2011, in the UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was 58.

           

Funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 2:30 P. M. Sunday, November 13, 2011, in the Judson Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald Ross officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:15 P. M. Sunday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.

           

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Judson Baptist Church, c/o Marilyn Turner, Treasurer, P.O. Box 56, Abbeville, AL. 36310.           

           

Mr. Parson was born in Eufaula but was reared in Belleville, Illinois. He formerly lived in Miami and near Lake Eufaula before moving to the Wesley Community in Henry County in 1998. Mr. Parson served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Judson Baptist Church. Mr. Parson was retired, due to disability, as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tules Odell Hefner and Jewel Sutton and also his adopted parents, Robert and Edith Parson.

           

Surviving relatives include his wife, Robin Galloway Sauls Parson, Abbeville; a step-daughter, Shannon Sauls Danzey, Abbeville; a step-son, Derek Sauls and wife, Sandra, Dothan; three grandchildren, Ethan Danzey, Rayne Danzey and Jacob Sauls; two sisters, Lucy Hitsman, Freeburg, Illinois; Jeri Daniels and husband, John, Columbia, Illinois; special nieces and nephews, Brandi Frantz, Steven Hitsman, Jason Daniels, Jodie Hrabusicky and Jennifer Daniels; a special nephew from the Sauls family, Johnny Sauls and wife, Angie.

           

Serving as active pallbearers will be Jeff Money, Wayne Money, Darren Sanchez, Stokes Moring, Johnny Sauls and Erwin Sauls.
