ABBEVILLE. . .Timothy Carlton “Tim” Hatcher, a resident of Abbeville, died early Tuesday afternoon, July 13, 2021, at his home. He was 55.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 15, 2021, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joe Vickers and Mr. Terry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hutto Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Hutto Cemetery Fund, c/o Pete Peterson, 1133 County Road 84, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Tim Hatcher was born in Ft. Gaines, but lived all his life in Abbeville where he was a 1984 graduate of Abbeville High School. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church. Tim was retired, due to disability, from Pea River Electric Co-Op as a Local Operations Lineman. He was preceded in death by his father, James W. “Rip” Hatcher.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Ann Vickers Hatcher, Abbeville; two brothers Kent Hatcher (Beth), Abbeville; and Randy Hatcher (Beth), Headland; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Brian Hatcher, Matt Hatcher, Zack Crozier, Jason Holt, Ben Holt, Casey Camp, Lincoln Ashworth and A. J. Barnes. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be employees of Pea River Electric Co-Op.
