Timothy "Tree" James Hicks, 48, of Dothan passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, July 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Chestnut officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:30 pm until 2 pm and at other times the family will gather at the home of Linda Brown in Columbia following the service.

Tim was born December 23, 1964 in Trenton, TN, but resided in Dothan for many years. He was a United States Marine Veteran and in his spare time he enjoyed working on cars, playing his guitar, and watching movies. Tim loved his family very much and was greatly loved by them as well.

Survivors include his mother Linda Gibson Brown; a brother Allen Hicks; sisters, Lori Downes and Leann Gibson; 4 nieces and 2 nephews; 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
