Timothy Norman Tew of Geneva, AL passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the age of seventy-four. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Reverends Garry Winstead and Scott Fulford officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Tew Family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Thursday, August 10 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Mr. Tew was born in Hawaii on January 23, 1949 to the late Willie Mack and Frances Ellington. He was a graduate of Geneva High School, class of 1967, where he excelled in sports and academics. He joined the Navy and served for twenty years with distinction, making Chief in record time. He then worked for the Civil Service as a Naval Instructor for nearly twenty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step mother Mary Sybil Helms, Dorothy Joan Tew, sister Dorothy Ann Tew, and brother Vance Alan Tew.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Tew of Geneva, AL; three children, Eric Tew (Sarah) of Hartsville, SC; Lori Green (Wade) of Black, AL; and Aron Tew of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren, Alison Walker (Steffan), Taylor Chandler, Abigail Perryman (Tanor), Savannah Tew, Stella Tew, Avery Green, and Will Tew; three great-grandsons, Easton Walker, Waylon Perryman, and Coleson Walker; four brothers, Brian Tew, Alex Tew (Tammy), Gary Brown, and Walter Brown; and sister Donna King (Mike); and six step-children, Jim Boyd, Pam Ware (Ricky), Danna Lawrence (Larry), Lyn Gentry (Tim), Gene Buckingham, and Dean Buckingham.
