Timothy Rex Cooper, 59, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, March14, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Friday, March 16, 2012 at the New Providence Church of the Nazarene at 29648 Antioch Rd., Andalusia, AL with Rev. Wallace Russell and Rev. Robert Canant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Cooper was born December 23, 1952 in Andalusia, AL and lived the early part of his life there. He has resided in Dothan for the past 30 years. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Cooper and his parents, Dorothy and Jimmy Cooper.

Survivors include his sons, Timothy (Monica) Cooper of Tennessee, and Danny Cooper of Midland City, AL; 2 grandchildren, Alexis Cooper and Alex Coward; sisters, Teresa (Phillip) Johnson of Dothan, and Lynda (Fletcher) Martin of Dothan; his former wife Helen Fowler; several nieces and nephews also survive.
