TJ Dean, Sr., a resident of Midland City, Alabama passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at his residence. He was 72 years old.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Royce Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 pm.
TJ was born on March 5, 1949 to the late Jessie Mae and JT Dean. He attended Wicksburg School and worked with Seed South where he retired as a Warehouse Manager. Following his retirement, he would work with his son as an electrician. TJ was a simple man and lived his life to reflect those values, he loved his family, loved the outdoors and fishing.
TJ was preceded in death by his wife, Vanessa Dean, his parents, Jessie Mae (Thomley) and JT Dean, his grandparents, Robert Brady Thomley, Mary Gilley Thomley, John Walter Dean, and Dora Arnold Dean, his siblings, John Robert Dean, James Earl Dean, and Terry Wayne Dean, and brother in-law, Billy M. Morrow.
Survivors include his son, TJ (Stephanie) Dean, Jr.; his daughters, Amanda Brannon, Crystal (Allen) Kelly, and Janice Delaine (Scott) Webb; his grandchildren, Jace and Jayden Dean, Skyler Brannon, Brent and Zander Kelly, Raymond Gardner, Cassandra (Shane) Langlois; his great grandchildren, Dwayne Langlois, Pasilie Langlois and Havana Langlois; his siblings, Sue Carroll Dean Morrow and Mary Catherine “Cathy” (Herbert) Dean Buie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jace Dean, Zander Kelly, Brent Kelly, Raymond Gardner, Christopher Beck, and Masen Beck. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Allen Kelly.
