Tommie Eugene Davis

Tommie Eugene Davis, known affectionately to all as Tommie, passed away on December 14, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and a life well-lived. Born on June 27, 1957, in Madison, Missouri, Tommie's life journey was marked by his friendly demeanor, his handy skills, and his unwavering kindness to those around him.

Tommie grew up in Monroe City, Missouri, where his youthful days were spent basking in the sun at the local lake, creating memories that he would fondly recount in his later years. He was the kind of person who could light up a room with his presence, and his laughter was a sound that many would remember long after his passing.

A dedicated worker, Tommie spent many years as an assembler, a profession that reflected his methodical nature and his love for putting things together. His work was not just a job; it was an extension of his passion for creating and fixing, a trait that he carried into all aspects of his life.

Family was at the core of Tommie's world. He was born to the late Marjorie L. Hartgrove. He cherished his children, Tommy Davis II, and Elizabeth Davis. His grandchildren, Julie, Aubree, Danielle, Tiffany, and Jayda, were a source of immense pride and joy. Tommie's brother, Tony Davis and his wife Betty, along with his nieces Marjorie Obert, Becky Williams, Bailey Williams, Tonie Davis, and Amelia Smith, held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Wendy Davis, his brother Ronnie Davis, his nephew Ronnie Jr. Davis, his daughter-in-law Liza Davis, and his best friend "AC," each of whom he remembered with love and honor.

Tommie's interests were as vibrant and colorful as his personality. He was an avid fan of Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny, characters that brought out the childlike wonder in him. His collection of cars was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and design. These interests were a window into Tommie's soul, reflecting the simplicity and joy he found in the everyday.
