 Tommie Eddins Weatherford


Tommie Eddins Weatherford, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence. She was 87.


Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Shelby Family Cemetery in Hardin County, TN with Rev. Don Harold Lawrence officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing.  


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.


Mrs. Weatherford was born March 30, 1928 in Dothan. She was a 1946 graduate of Dothan High School and a member of First United Methodist Church for the past 40 years. Mrs. Weatherford lived a full and blessed life filled with faith.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Early Eddins and Annie Belle Eddins; her first husband, James Martin Everidge; her husband of 35 years, Atwell Dean Weatherford; two brothers, Fred Bates Eddins and Owen Earl Eddins and one grandson, Wheeler Whitlow Price.


Survivors include four step-children, Dean Weatherford Jr. and wife, Brigitte of the United Arab Emirates, Joel Weatherford and wife Cindy, Susan Hewes and husband Bobby, Beth Price and husband Ed, all of Dothan; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews; and special friends, Hilde and Van Vandagriff.
